Penticton Peach Festival

The Penticton Peach Festival is a free, five-day summer festival held every August in Okanagan Lake Park, on Penticton's waterfront. It has celebrated the South Okanagan's peach harvest since 1947, which makes it one of the longest-running community festivals in British Columbia.

When is the Peach Festival?

Early August, Wednesday to Sunday. The 2026 festival ran August 5 to 9. The Penticton Peach Festival Society announces each year's dates and lineup on peachfest.com.

Where is it held?

Okanagan Lake Park, on Lakeshore Drive at the north end of downtown Penticton. The parades run through the downtown streets nearby.

What happens at Peach Fest?

  • Free evening concerts on the main stage in the park
  • Parades through downtown Penticton
  • Carnival rides, sports, family entertainment and food vendors
  • Peaches from local orchards, at their peak in early August

Do you need tickets?

No. Entry to the park and the concerts is free. Rides, food and drinks are paid separately.

Tips for visiting

  • Walk or bike in. Expect road closures and full parking lots around Lakeshore Drive during the festival.
  • Check before you go. August is wildfire season in the Okanagan, and plans can change at short notice. In 2026, a parade was cancelled to make room for a nearby wildfire response.
  • Make a weekend of it. Pair the festival with a morning on the Naramata Bench. Our list of 10 unmissable things to do in Penticton and Naramata is a good place to start.
