Okanagan Wine Festivals: Winter, Spring and Fall

The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society produces three seasonal wine festivals each year: winter in January and early February, spring in early May and fall at harvest, from late September into October. Each brings tastings, winemaker dinners and vineyard events to wineries and venues across the valley. The spring festival has run since 1980.

Okanagan Winter Wine Festival (January to early February)

The newest of the three. Its signature events are the Winter SIPS grand tastings: South, an evening tasting in Penticton featuring South Okanagan wineries, and North, an afternoon tasting in downtown Kelowna focused on cool-climate wines like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling. A TASTE passport offers vouchers for tastings at participating wineries, and a Dine Around program runs at restaurants alongside it.

Spring Okanagan Wine Festival (early May)

Ten days of new spring releases, guided tastings, winemaker dinners and vineyard experiences. The 2026 festival ran May 1 to 10.

Fall Okanagan Wine Festival (late September to early October)

The harvest festival, with winemaker dinners, vineyard tours and harvest-themed events while the grapes come in. The 2026 festival ran September 25 to October 4.

TASTE events

Through the year, the society also runs smaller regional tasting events, such as TASTE Lake Country and Taste of Naramata.

Tickets

Each event is ticketed separately on thewinefestivals.com. Attendees must be 19 or older, and popular dinners can sell out, so book early.
